 In April of 1996, GSPS Southern Interceptors was founded by Terry O’Connor in Cedar Point, North Carolina as a Specialized Vehicle Dealership that eventually turned into a vehicle auction house. 

GSPS Southern Interceptors was ahead of its time auctioning vehicles on eBay.com in the early days of online vehicle sales — before the platform evolved into eBay Motors. Embracing online auctions early allowed us to reach buyers worldwide and build a reputation for transparency and accurately represented vehicles long before digital sales became the industry standard.

In 2007 to 2013, Terry made the decision to close the business in order to deploy overseas as a Defense Contractor, first in Iraq and then Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

After returning to the United States, He worked in the North Dakota’s oil fields as a frac mechanic, and then as a supervisor managing two North Dakota State Parks.

Throughout his career, he has developed extensive hands-on experience as a master mechanic technician, working on both diesel and gas-powered vehicles and heavy equipment. 

Recently semi-retired, he has returned home to North Carolina, settling in Southport, North Carolina.

Now, Terry has brought Southern Interceptors back to life.

Not as a high-volume dealership and auction house, but as a focused, hands-on operation built on experience, discipline, and craftsmanship focusing on one vehicle at a time.

Each vehicle is Carefully Researched and Personally Selected, Mechanically Serviced and Repaired if needed using decades of Technical Hands On Experience. 

Terry’s Busness Plan is Simple. “I do not believe in pushing volume. I believe in presenting a vehicle that I personally stand behind — one that is dependable, dialed in, and right for its next owner.”
